February 5 is the 1st date of the 12 week Spanish-language Cabrillo College Supervisory Academy program designed to help you or your staff develop skills and become a better supervisor. Register today.
In today's new work environment, you are expected to meet organizational goals with the people you supervise. We need to develop capabilities to adapt to the uncertainty and constant change around us. Supervisors now manage employees in person and/or remotely, so a better understanding of how people operate and clear communication are essential skills. Through each course, you will learn the tools, tips, and techniques that will bring success in your interactions and build trust in your working relationships.
In our weekly meetings you will learn:
Skills that will make you better prepared, organized and satisfied with your role as a supervisor
Self-knowledge and strategies to manage situations and people
Stress and conflict management
Effective communication to create a culture of trust and high performance
Motivational factors for individual employees and the collective team
Optimizing time, team performance and results
Coaching techniques to maximize the potential of each individual
Cabrillo College's Supervisory Academy is a 12-week program that meets weekly on Wednesdays from 9am to noon beginning February 5 and ending April 23.
Registration for the full series is open until February 1 at https://extension.cabrillo.edu/classes/spanishsupervisory2/. Registration is required to attend.
